Terms of Service

Last updated: August 5, 2026. This is a placeholder draft covering the basics of how ClinicLink operates — review with an attorney before treating it as final.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ClinicLink (the "Service"), operated in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. What ClinicLink is

ClinicLink is a directory that aggregates publicly available information about physicians — including NPPES NPI Registry data, Google review summaries, Texas Medical Board public records, and D Magazine editorial recognitions — to help patients research and contact doctors. ClinicLink does not provide medical advice, does not practice medicine, and does not employ or supervise any physician listed on the Service.

ClinicLink is not a substitute for professional medical judgment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical decisions, and call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room for medical emergencies.

2. Accounts

Patients may create an account via a passwordless email link or by signing in with Google. Physicians and practices may claim and manage a listing through a separate provider login. You're responsible for keeping your login link and any active session secure, and for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Appointment requests

When you submit an appointment request through the Service, we forward the contact details and preferences you provide directly to the relevant doctor's office so they can follow up. ClinicLink does not schedule, confirm, or manage appointments itself, and does not guarantee a response from any office.

4. Provider listings and subscriptions

Physicians and practices may claim a free listing or purchase a paid subscription tier for additional features (such as profile customization, verified badges, or featured placement in search results). Paid subscriptions are billed through our payment processor (Stripe) on a recurring basis until cancelled. Pricing and included features are described on the Service at the time of purchase and may change with notice.

Claimed listings must be managed by the physician, an authorized representative of the practice, or someone with the practice's permission. ClinicLink may remove or suspend a listing that violates these Terms or contains inaccurate information, at its discretion.

5. Accuracy of information

ClinicLink aggregates data from third-party sources and physician-submitted updates. While we make reasonable efforts to keep listings current, we don't guarantee that any information — including insurance participation, office hours, contact details, or licensure status — is complete, accurate, or up to date. Confirm details directly with a doctor's office before relying on them.

6. Reviews and ratings

Star ratings and review summaries shown on ClinicLink reflect their original third-party sources (such as Google) and are not independently verified or endorsed by ClinicLink. Board-action summaries link to official Texas Medical Board records; read the underlying record before drawing conclusions.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to: misrepresent your identity or affiliation with a medical practice; submit false or misleading information through a claimed listing; scrape, harvest, or bulk-extract data from the Service without permission; or use the Service to harass, defraud, or harm patients or providers.

8. No medical information collected

ClinicLink is not a healthcare provider and does not request or store protected health information (PHI). Don't submit medical history, diagnoses, or other sensitive health details through appointment requests or any other form on the Service — share those directly with the doctor's office once you're in contact.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ClinicLink disclaims all liability for decisions made based on information found through the Service, including the selection of a physician. ClinicLink's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount, if any, you paid to ClinicLink in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
